A catlike creature photographed by camera traps on Borneo Island is likely to be a new species of carnivore, the World Wildlife Fund said.




If confirmed, the animal, which has dark red fur and a long, bushy tail, would be first new carnivore species discovered on the island since 1895, when the Borneo ferret-badger was found, the fund said.

Since 1994, researchers have found more than 360 new species on Borneo island, most of them insects and plants. The island, which is shared by Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei, has some of the most diverse wildlife on Earth, but its forests are under threat from expanding rubber and oil palm plantations.

Today is officially the last day of exams! We went out for dinner for fun mainly. We had pizza. It seems so wrong that after today's exam it is officially the last day that all the f and n students will be taking the exams together and yesterday was the last day that we; 4a1 and 4a2 took the exams in full strength. As Siti, Jonathan and i walked to take a taxi, we reminisced about the pass and sang sad sad songs. This is where the holiday begins and it will be a long one. A long mental holiday. Worrying about your results and the day that you will find out who will not be there in your class next year or even you yourself might not be there. Alright gotta go pack my luggage.
